Picked our first squash casserole 5-28-11
What a difference 4 days make. The season has landed and things just seem to come together.
There lies some mighty fine chomping coming along.

And the season begins???
It seems, to me, that the seasons have grown stranger each year these past few. Cold, storms, rain, drought, hail and heat ... sometimes in the same week.
Yet, somehow, progress is made as time passes us by. For all the delays and failures, it just seems to fall into place.
And here come the squash.

Finally! Some ( more) planting!
We saw 43, 44 and 46 degrees for lows last week ... following the .8 inch of rain we got Friday evening.
But, finally, the ground got dry enough for planting, we took advantage of it and the season is underway.

Progress
It has been a cool, wet Spring here in NE GA. 46 degrees this morning and yet another shower.
Friday, we had a strong storm come through. The wind got under the fabric and made a mess of things.

Saturday was spent recovering ...

and the battle continues.
